Introducing Miss Avery Claire

Last Thursday I became a aunt!!!!!! To a very cute 9lbs 20in little bundle of joy! Its crazy to think I am an aunt, but I am loving every minute of it. Its hard to believe my baby sis is a mom. She is doing wonderfully, but I didnt doubt she would be. As soon as I got to hold Avery it was a very bitter sweet moment for me, I honestly dont remember everything bout the day the kids were born, heck I dont remember the first month or so. It was such a crazy time. So getting to hold a baby right after they were born was a new expierence for me. So of course I cried. An everybody asked when you going to have another? That seemed to be the question of the day. Somedays I want another or maybe two(cause that could happen again)an somedays I will pass on having anymore. But right now I will just spoil the two I have an spoil my new niece. Cause after feeding her the other day only one feeding seem to wear me out.
This past Tuesday the kids finally got to meet their cousin Avery. They were both really excited to see her. They couldnt go to the hospital we could have sneaked them but I just thought it would be better an wait til they got home to go see her. I would show Addi pics an she would say "my baby" it was the cutest thing ever. So Tuesday we headed over an when we got there the kids were excited to see their Uncle T an aunt Corrye very much it had been awhile since they had seen them. Then they see Cor holding a baby an were like who is this an became very shy. It was kinda funny. Landon quickly moved on to play with Uncle T. An Addi was still being very shy. She soon sort of warmed up to her. Then she would kiss the baby it was so cute. I held her an they didnt mind to much, which is what I was afraid of.
They are glad to have a new cousin to play with!

We love you Avery Claire!!

Air Planes an Helicopters

Two weekends ago we decided to take the kids to the air show in Ft. Worth, everytime the commercial came on tv they both were glued to the tv watching. Saying I wanna go see airplanes. So since it was out by Pawpaw Gigs house we asked if they wanted to join us. An since Pawpaw Gig works on airplanes we thought it was pretty appropriate! lol... Well Joel ended up having to work so it was just me an Pawpaw Gig going to the air show. So we picked up him up an off we went they were so excited. Then we get there an have to stand in a ridiculous line to get in that went this way then this way. The kids were not thrilled to say the least.
An they start the show an airplanes are flying an you couldn't see anything in line because of the trees. Again they were not impressed, to say the least! Once we got in the were excited going from this one to this one. Then seeing some in the air. It was really cool. I had never been to an air show before. The coolest part for me an Addi thought so to was the pink helicopter! Everything was good til the loud airplanes started flying of course my son was not so thrilled! So he an Pawpaw had to go towards the gate when that started. Addi just wanted me to cover her ears an then she was fine. So after walking around for awhile they were getting a bit restless an we were getting pooped as well. An Pawpaw knew the Blue Angels would be loud so we headed back to the car to watch from the car so it wouldnt be so loud for Landon. The Blue Angels were really neat. It took them awhile to get started but once they did it was really neat.

We had a gret time! Thanks Pawpaw Gig for going with us.
They are already talking bout going back.

Circus.....

A couple weeks ago we decided to take the kids to the Shriner Circus again this year. We went last year an they enjoyed it. This year was a bit different, to say the least! This year it was only me an Paula(Nana), Joel was working an so was Pawpaw Carlos. So we get there a little before it starts. As soon as it starts they start playing music an talking. Landon starts to cry I am like okay maybe its just the music is to loud for him. So they start bringing out animals an such an he is still sort of crying an holding on to my neck for dear life. So he doesnt stop crying so Paula decides to take him down stairs an go buy a light up thing they are selling maybe that would help. Addi loved watching everything an the music. Anything with music or dancing she loves. So me an her stayed up an watched the circus while Landon walked around downstairs for a bit.
They have an intermission where they bring out the elephants an ponies an another animal but I cant think what it was to ride. An we figured we would be at the ponies again this year like last but this year they wanted to ride the elephants an of course they cant ride them by themselves. I was brave enough to volunteer twice! Boy was that fun. Due to having to ride an everything I didnt take any pics. But Addi was very upset when the elephants had to go backstage. We tried to again to watch at our seats, but the noise bothered Landon again so they headed back down stairs. It wasnt long before Addi was done to. But all an all it was alot of fun for them. They love animals so anytime they can see them we try an do it!

Pumpkin Patch

Thursday we headed out to our little annual trip to the pumpkin patch with Nana & Pawpaw Carlos. We have been going there for 3 yrs now I cant believe it. We got there an again as soon as we pull into park it starts pouring down rain. I was excited cause before we parked there were not many people there an I love it when places like that our not packed with people. That way the kids can run free an I can still see them. But there was a reason there werent that many people there cause they knew it was going to rain. We waited in the car bout 5-10 mins an then it was just sprinkling. I said alittle rain is not going to hurt anyone. So we got out an were walking around. We found the bin with the little pumpkins so the kids got to pick out some pumpkins.

We followed the kids wherever they wanted to go. They had bounce houses an a merry go round. The kids loved that. They have all kinds of wood cuts out an I got some good pics of Landon. Addi was going to where the horses were.

(were not quite tall enough for this yet).

He was so cute he would say "mom take my pic with Diego"
An then we found the bails of hay! An saw the older kids getting up on it an jumping down so they decided they would do it to.

Soon after they were done jumping off it started to rain again so we decided to leave. But we plan on going back to get some big pumpkins. This week or next.

Oh I forgot before we got to the pumpkin patch we go thru the back part of the airport so they can see planes. An we found this new observation area were you can watch the airplanes land an take off. They have picnic tables an things you can look thru to get a better look at the planes. We plan on doing that again to. The kids loved it.

(my three kids).

KICKED THE PACI'S

We have finally kicked the paci's!!!!!!! Its been over a week now an we no longer take the paci. Now they might ask for it but we distract them to something else an dont hear about it again. Joel decided it was time, an while he was off work we decided we could both be strong bout it decided not to give it to them one day at nap an we havent had it since. It was much easier than I thought it would be. They dont cry for them when its time to go to nap or bed. Now nap time takes alittle longer to go to sleep, but if that is all I have to worry bout. I am in good shape. They have had those things since the time they were delivered. The hospital put those things in there mouth right away in the NICU, so they could start sucking. I know Joel wont say this but to think there not babies anymore is sad for me. But I know it was time to get rid of those things. But I am blessed that it was that easy. They were very good babies an are pretty good toddlers (even in the terrible twos haha). I am a very lucky mommy!

Fossil Rim

Last Saturday we decided to take the kids somewhere. Since Joel had his surgery we have been stuck in the house. So we needed to get the kids out before they got to bored an destroyed my house. So we kinda came up with Fossil Rim in a spur of the moment thing. An I am so glad we did. We headed out but 10 or so. Nana & Pawpaw Carlos decided to join us, so both the kids could see. One riding with us an one riding with them. So we headed out, we were alittle ahead of Paula an Carlos getting there so we decided to take our time. We passed this little tip pee an cabin type thing an decided to stop an let them walk around an see the neat stuff. I am glad we did they enjoyed that. I would love to do that more often. Getting a lit education an seeing new things. We got back in the car an headed to Fossil Rim by this time they were not far behind us. We arrived an let the kids walk around til they got there. In the entrance they had dinosaurs.

So we bought our tickets an got food an off we went. We had Addi for the first half. I think the kids just loved being able to sit with us an not their car seats. As we drive in the entrance it starts to pour (thank goodness you drive your car around), an the first animals we come to start going off under the trees. I thought it would be like this the whole way. But it rained for maybe 5 Min's an then stopped an the animals start coming out again. This was the neatest thing I had ever seen was these animals coming up to your car an they were the cutest things.
(I was a little afraid of the ostrich they are not the nicest animals). So we see deer, billy goats, more deer. emu's. All different things an Addi was enjoying feeding them. She said it tickled every time one would eat out of her hand.

(me an my Addi girl. Her eyes look beautiful in this pic. Like her Great Grandpa Garrett an Great Grandma Gigliotta).

This was my favorite part along with Addi the zebras an the giraffe's. Even though the zebras scared me a bit. It was so neat to be up so close an personal with these animals.

(an no the zebra didnt do that to my mirror my husband did! lol)
Halfway thru the trail is a place where they have a petting zoo an gift shop an place to have lunch. We got out an went to the petting zoo. They had goats, two turtles an birds u could see. But the kids loved the goats. I think I might have to give in an move to the country so these kids can have a farm. They LOVE animals!

We ate some lunch an talked to a really nice man. That told us everything about this place. An then headed back down with Landon to see more animals. Landon loved the fact that he could drive with his daddy!

The place was really neat. We def. enjoyed our day out there. We are thinking bout getting season passes there its so neat. An the kids loved it. It rained but it was still alot of FUN!!!

Nightly Routine

I am blessed to have two wonderful kids that take usually an hour to hour an half nap an go to sleep without a fuss! Put them in their bed an they are out. An after seperating the rooms I thought we might have a problem. But they have done so well they even sleep later now, which is wonderful for me. I am a big sleeper! But since the seperation Miss Addi has started a new routine. Her routine consists of:
1. Kissing her feet
2. Kissing her hands
3. Kissing her on the head
4. Hug (as she squeeze's so tight I love it)
5. High 5's
6. Then shake her hands
7. The final an new one that is so darn cute is now she wants to dap (where you hit fists) I believe she learned from Uncle T & Aunt Corrye.
Where she learned all this I dont know.
Then she wants her music turned on an she is good to go.
Landon all you have to do is tuck him in an kiss him goodnite.

Labor Day

Labor Day we headed over to Ms. Brooke's (Kristie & Brians mom) pool to hang out with friends an swim. The kids love going over their to swim. We ate some really good food (thanks Brian an Eric) an had a great time. It was prob the last day for the kids to go swimming since the weather should be getting cooler.
Addi lounging getting some sun :).

Had to float in the baby float since it was pulled out. She threw quite the fit over it.

Little man posing for the camera

Hanging all over their Uncle Billybob! They love him so much.

Thank you to Brooke, Billybob an Kristie for letting us come over an play in the pool all summer. They love you guys. An always have fun there!!

The Funny Things Kids Say...

Yesterday morning a little after we had gotten up an ate breakfast Landon comes into the Living room saying "Ladies and Gentleman now presenting Magic" I started cracking up laughing an asked him where did he hear that. So after that he thought it was hilarious each time he said it. An then yesterday afternoon we had gone over to Joel's grandmas for a visit. An we were getting the kids into the car an these days they don't want help with anything, so they want to buckle their seat belts in the car seats. Well grandma was trying to help Landon he was saying I can do it, I can do it. An grandma said I am just trying to help you an his response was "you can go back inside" I started dying laughing I was like where does he come up with this stuff. He apologized an gave her a kiss. But it was stinking cute! Addi doesn't talk near as much as Landon but she is getting there. Her saying is "Aw Man"!!! an her little voice its to cute!

*Sorry just thought I would share.

Rodeo & Pony Rides!!

Saturday night after Joel got off we decided to take the kids to the Mesquite Rodeo after we got some tickets from a friend. They both are defintly into horses an cows right now so I thought the kids would enjoy it. After telling them a couple days before that is all they would say is "go to the rodeo" so they were very excited to go. Brian, Paula & Carlos decided they would go with us an that just added to their excitement. We get there an they are ready to race in there. We got there a little early an decided to walk around. An you can see where the holding tank (what I like to call it) where the cows & calfs wait. So the kids ran up to it trying to pet them, of course the cows wouldnt have it. It was cute to see the excitement on there face. Then we find the pony rides. We could have stayed there the whole night an Addi would have been perfectly content on that. She suckered her Nana into going over there during the rodeo. They rode them 3 or 4 times. During a break between bull riding an barrel races a clown came out an was going to do a trick on a dirt bike, well as soon as the he kicked started the dirt bike Landon started crying cause it was scaring him. An lately he has been such a little dare devil that most anything doesnt scare him. So I was very suprised when he cried. An now he talks bout how he was scared when the dirt bike came out. Its hilarious! But they had a great time at the rodeo we will def. have to go again next year an we might just have to buy a pony for that girl!

Saturday with Nana & Pawpaw Carlos

(the kids with Carlos & the truck)

This morning Paula called me an asked if the kids would like to go ride in the big truck(he has a big 18wheeler truck an trailer), and of course I asked an they said YES!!!! They love riding in Pawpaw Carlos's truck every time they see Paula or Carlos they ask "ride in pawpaw truck". Or even when we see a truck on the road they ask. They love his truck to say the least. Well they were going to come here but there isn't much to see in Mansfield these days besides houses, so I said I would bring them out there so they could see horses an cows. On the phone Paula had mentioned going to a horse ranch so they could see horses. An I figured we would just drive thru, but we got out an walked all around. So we headed out that way to Aledo, we got to Nana's house. An as soon as we get to Nana's house Addi runs over to the truck. She is ready to go. So we had to plead with her to come inside to get a blanket for the back part of the truck an she thought we weren't going to ride so she started crying an saying " ride ride." We finally convinced her she was going to ride an she stopped for a few minutes. We got the stuff an headed out to ride an find some cows an horses. It is much prettier out there than driving around here, I think.
(Landon riding with Nana up in the front)
(Addi riding in the back with me)
(Both riding with Nana)
So we loaded up an away we went to find horses, an cows. We saw lots of them on the way. Then we stopped at the horse ranch where Carlos usually picks up some poop from. An we got out an looked at the beautiful horses that were all around us. We probably walked around for about an hour or so. Looking at all the horses there.
Here are a few pics

Then we headed inside the stables an pet some horses. The kids weren't afraid at all. Well Landon was a little standoffish but he got over that quick.

Then we got back into the truck an drove around some more. An by that time it was lunch time so we went back to Nana's to get the car an we headed out to lunch at McDonald's to let them blow off some more energy. It was a great day! Thanks Nana & Pawpaw Carlos. They had a blast! It was cute listening an talking bout their day with them.
