Our Favorite Neighbor

The kids favorite neighbor Blake was getting a new firetruck at Pantego Fire Department an asked us to come an see it, an he would show the kids the firetruck an everything. So of course the kids were all bout it esp since it was Blake. They have alittle ceremony for the new truck an everything.

(the new firetruck)
Waiting on the ceremony to start

They do a ceremony where they bring in the new truck by watering it from the old truck. An after they ask everyone attending to dry it off so the kids had a blast doing that.

Thanks Blake for inviting us an thanks for being a great neighbor!

Joels 30th Suprise Party

(the pin he had to wear at dinner an the party haha)
I decided since Joel was hitting the BIG 30 this year that I would throw him a suprise party! Boy is that work, an trying to keep it from him was the pits I hated that part. Then you have him trying to plan to do something on top of that texting an calling people. But we(it only took a small team lol) pulled it off! An I think til he pulled up outside he was suprised. I was so glad people came to celebrate with us. An he def. deserve it, he works hard taking care of us I wanted to do this for him.

I really slacked on taking pictures I should have taken alot more. But I guess you live an learn.....

Circus

Joel decided that for his bday he wanted to take the kids to the circus. An since we havent been able to go to a circus all together I said of course. We went with Paula an Carlos to the Barnum & Bailey Circus. We got their early to go down on the floor an see the clowns an some performers. The kids had a blast an they did very well sitting thru the entire program. We really had an awesome time!

(Landon wanted nothing to do with this clown, an I figured since he had a skate board he would love it but nope!)

(with the shows motorcycle, again Landon wanted no part in it)

(me an Joel being silly an I love how Landon snuck in the picture)

We had a wonderful time thanks Nana & Pawpaw Carlos

Visit w/ Kyle

On the way home on Sunday we decided to stop an see our friend Kyle. I went to junior high an hs with Kyle an Joel knew him from school as well an from ag. He takes care of cows an gets them ready for shows like Ft. Worth stock show an things like that. So we knew the kids would be thrilled to see some cows. They ended up liking the kittens he had way more than the cows. But they still had fun, an it was good Kyle could finally meet the kids. These cows def. had the life. Fans blowing on all day long, hardly any poop in their stalls. A freezer they could go in. They were very cute cows an expensive an worth alot of money. We had a good time!

Natural Bridge Caverns Wildlife Ranch

On Saturday we decided against going back to Sea World due to it being so hot an the weekend an it would have been crammed pack with people. An I dont have two patient toddlers so we decided to find something else to do. We were going to go to Austin an see the University an show Landon were hook'em horns play. But we were going to be driving home the next day so decided to show him then. So we headed to San Marcos I knew I wanted to hit the outlets for school clothes. We decided the Wildlife Ranch. I was alittle bit disappointed in it, we have been to Fossil Rim in Glen Rose an that was way better and CHEAPER. We got there late morning an most the animals were already trying to find shade, but the kids got to feed alot of animals. Before we started we went into the petting zoo with the goats. These kids love animals no matter what they are, esp Addi. She wants to pet everyone of them. In the car Addi said lets take a pic of our family. She is big on getting all of us together close an saying "we are a family" its so stinking cute! After the ranch we headed to do some shopping it was alot of fun

Childrens Musuem in San Antonio

Friday we decided to head out to the children's museum in downtown San Antonio. I had heard alot of good things bout it so I decided we were going to try it out since its like 100 degrees outside an needed something indoors to do. The kids had alot of fun but they loved this trolley car that was up at the front the most.

They had a ball area up front where you could put the ball in an shoot it out!
A bubble an sandbox area
They had all types of things the kids could play with, they had the front part of a actual airplane, where the kids could sit in the cockpit area. We just played around there for awhile here are some pics.

Who said it was just for kids, Joel played with this thing for probably 20 mins.

Sea World-Vacation

We decided we would take the kids to Sea World this year for vacation. This was there first roadtrip/hotel stay. So we headed out early Thursday morning about 4 or so an made our way to Sea World we wanted to get there as soon as they opened. An we did, I was so proud of the kids I was alittle afraid of the drive down that they would get restless an want out of their seats. Landon went back to sleep but Addi didnt an really she wasnt in a terribly bad mood. So I was very happy bout that. They had a blast seeing the animals, playing in the little water park, watching the shows, feeding the dolphins, riding a ride. So here are the pics from Sea World

That was Sea World I think the kids had a blast! We def. will be going back again soon.... Thank you Nana & Pawpaw Carlos.

*I am going to split the trip up into three parts

First Ranger Game

The night before we left for vacation my dad had gotten tickets to go to the Ranger game, so this was going to be there first Ranger game. Landon was excited more than Addi was but that is to be expected. Before the game started we tried to get there alittle early to get autographs. Boy an we only got one autograph but that was so worth it, we got Cliff Lee's autograph on a ball. Landon was excited bout the ball not really about the autograph that was on it. Joel was sure jumping up for joy bout it.

Addi an Daddy waiting on players to come out for autographs
Joel took the kids walking around the stadium while we waited for the game to start an when they came back Addi had a tattoo on her face.

The kids did really well they lasted til bout the 8th inning which was longer than I thought they would an I think they had a wonderful time. Definitely see more games in their future. The only thing was Addi was upset they didnt have any fireworks ( no homeruns or fireworks show after) so next time we will have to go on a Friday night when they have fireworks.
