Rodeo & Pony Rides!!

Saturday night after Joel got off we decided to take the kids to the Mesquite Rodeo after we got some tickets from a friend. They both are defintly into horses an cows right now so I thought the kids would enjoy it. After telling them a couple days before that is all they would say is "go to the rodeo" so they were very excited to go. Brian, Paula & Carlos decided they would go with us an that just added to their excitement. We get there an they are ready to race in there. We got there a little early an decided to walk around. An you can see where the holding tank (what I like to call it) where the cows & calfs wait. So the kids ran up to it trying to pet them, of course the cows wouldnt have it. It was cute to see the excitement on there face. Then we find the pony rides. We could have stayed there the whole night an Addi would have been perfectly content on that. She suckered her Nana into going over there during the rodeo. They rode them 3 or 4 times. During a break between bull riding an barrel races a clown came out an was going to do a trick on a dirt bike, well as soon as the he kicked started the dirt bike Landon started crying cause it was scaring him. An lately he has been such a little dare devil that most anything doesnt scare him. So I was very suprised when he cried. An now he talks bout how he was scared when the dirt bike came out. Its hilarious! But they had a great time at the rodeo we will def. have to go again next year an we might just have to buy a pony for that girl!

Saturday with Nana & Pawpaw Carlos

(the kids with Carlos & the truck)

This morning Paula called me an asked if the kids would like to go ride in the big truck(he has a big 18wheeler truck an trailer), and of course I asked an they said YES!!!! They love riding in Pawpaw Carlos's truck every time they see Paula or Carlos they ask "ride in pawpaw truck". Or even when we see a truck on the road they ask. They love his truck to say the least. Well they were going to come here but there isn't much to see in Mansfield these days besides houses, so I said I would bring them out there so they could see horses an cows. On the phone Paula had mentioned going to a horse ranch so they could see horses. An I figured we would just drive thru, but we got out an walked all around. So we headed out that way to Aledo, we got to Nana's house. An as soon as we get to Nana's house Addi runs over to the truck. She is ready to go. So we had to plead with her to come inside to get a blanket for the back part of the truck an she thought we weren't going to ride so she started crying an saying " ride ride." We finally convinced her she was going to ride an she stopped for a few minutes. We got the stuff an headed out to ride an find some cows an horses. It is much prettier out there than driving around here, I think.
(Landon riding with Nana up in the front)
(Addi riding in the back with me)
(Both riding with Nana)
So we loaded up an away we went to find horses, an cows. We saw lots of them on the way. Then we stopped at the horse ranch where Carlos usually picks up some poop from. An we got out an looked at the beautiful horses that were all around us. We probably walked around for about an hour or so. Looking at all the horses there.
Here are a few pics

Then we headed inside the stables an pet some horses. The kids weren't afraid at all. Well Landon was a little standoffish but he got over that quick.

Then we got back into the truck an drove around some more. An by that time it was lunch time so we went back to Nana's to get the car an we headed out to lunch at McDonald's to let them blow off some more energy. It was a great day! Thanks Nana & Pawpaw Carlos. They had a blast! It was cute listening an talking bout their day with them.

Weekend Away

This past weekend Joel had decided to take me to Sea World, only since he had been promising for 7 yrs to take me. I have never been to Sea World so we decided to go the 13th which was his bday. Such a sweet husband I know, taking his wife somewhere for HIS bday. Well he say it just worked out that way with work an everything. But I still giving props for taking me on his bday. Which really I think he was more excited than I was. Since I had never been I didnt know what to expect but he did. An he was like a kid in a candy store when we got there. Almost running to the gates to get in line. We left our house at 530 that morning an got there right as they were opening very good timing I would say. Joel got a schedule first thing so we could see when the shows were. I dont know what I was expecting with the shows but they were a million times better! We went to every show an did almost everything except the water park I just wasnt willing to get wet then go walk around. We saw penguins, sea lions, shamu, sharks, we fed the dolpins.
The shamu show was really amazing we both said we could sit there for hours an just watch them swim. It was such a great expierence! We did fill bad bout not bringing the kids but we def. will go back next year with them. This year they were just still a little to young. After seeing everything it was about 5 or so. We decided to go back to our hotel that was bout a mile from the river walk. An get ready an go have dinner an walk around. We get ready go have a few drinks before heading to dinner. By the time we had dinner an walked around a bit I was tired, an I had the bright idea to wear flip flops to Sea World boy was that a mistake I had blisters on the bottom of my feet an I got shin splints. So I was ready to hit the hay but I felt bad cause it was Joels bday an he wanted to go out an have a good time. Well I was limping when I walked so he decided to just go back to the hotel. After giving me a hard time of course.

The next day we SLEPT IN, that is the nicest thing to do on vacations esp after having kids. We got up an headed to San Marcus to the outlet malls. Boy was that thing huge but we got some great stuff. I was excited. By the end of that day my legs an feet were feeling much better. So we headed out to the river walk again an ate at a nice fancy place. It was really good. We walked around had some deserts. An took our little bus back to our hotel. This time Joel was tired. But of course I didnt give him a hard time.
The next day we of course slept in again. An got up an packed our stuff an headed out. We stopped in Gruene to look around in the shops an we had Brunch. We were defintly missing the kids. An wanted to get home fast. It was a really great weekend away!

My Future Longhorn.

Landon loves his Longhorn shirts almost as much as Addi an her pretty dresses. Now when he sees anything longhorn he shouts Hook'em Horns! He is still working on the hand sign and he has almost got it down. We need to find him a better fit hat though he has grown out of the ones he has. I know his daddy an his grandpa Sadler would be ecstatic if he was a longhorn. Maybe its in the cards who knows! But I def. know he is a fan right now!

My Pig Tail Girl

Here are a couple of pig tail pictures I took of Addi. She is not big on people playing with her hair she defintly has to be in the mood. An this day Joel was able to put her hair in pig tails. Its not the best job buy hey her daddy did an she was so happy!!!

(Oh an btw this is one of her pretty dresses she has to wear. lol)
