Our 4th of July

Our fourth of July didnt start out very well. It all started Thursday Landon woke up from his nap a little cranky an was drooling alot. I thought it might be from him cutting his molars but he started to run a fever that night so I gave him some medicine an thought hopefully that would make him better. Joel got home Friday morning and we had a day planned getting the kids haircuts for the parade and everything else before he started running a fever. So I decided we better call the doc just to make sure. So Joel took Landon to the doc an I took Addi to get a haircut from Joels aunt Ann. An he would just meet us over there when they got thru. Well they got back and I find out he has the hands, feet, an mouth virus that is very common in 2-3 yr olds in the summer time. Its little spots on his hands an feet an in his mouth. Well of course that explains the drooling cause he had them all in his mouth, he soaked the shirt he went to the doctor in. He wouldnt drink anything an he would let me give him some Motrin that morning an usually he is good bout taking medicine. So it started going down hill from there. He would drink a few sips here an there wouldnt eat anything. Joel had to work the rest of the day. An Landon started getting worse as the day progressed an the doc said just to give them motrin every 6 hrs and just let it run its course which they said usually takes 3 days. Well Landon wouldnt take the motrin so that didnt help him. So when Joel got off about 11 we decided we better take him to the ER since he wasnt drinkin I was getting worried he would get dehydrated so about 4 we came home with some meds. Needless to say we didnt make the parade. An that afternoon we were suppose to go over to Brian's & his mom's house to swim I thought no way his he going so I sent Joel and Addi cause they couldnt do anything here an poor Addi was bored cause bubba wasnt playing or doin anything with her. Landon slept alot an started to feel an inch bit better he still wasnt eating much but was drinking thanks to the meds. So I said invite them over an we can still watch fireworks from the backyard so at least he could see those. An I think he enjoyed the fireworks. So I am glad cause my heart was breaking for him an I couldnt do anything to make it better. I truly cried cause I knew he was in so much pain.
Today he told me mommy I feel better, I was thrilled that he told me that. He is slowly pickin up eatting like he was. Addi showed a few spots but she doesnt have any now an seems to have not gotten it as bad. Thank goodness! But she is like her momma and Landon is like his daddy when it comes to being sick an in pain. Haha--dont tell Joel I said that. So we did see Fireworks an I truly think being together and watching those is all that matters. We will have a makeup bbq/swim at The Kennedy's another day.

Swim Lessons

The kids did amazing well at swim lessons these past two weeks. I could not be more proud of them. They taught them little cute songs to sing. An Landon still sings the song when in the water. They both were kicking an moving their arms. They got a little distracted every now an then but they are 2 so I expected them to. But they loved the part jumping off the wall an going under water. The teacher was super nice and the kids took to her very well. All an all it went very well for their first swim lessons. We def. will do it a couple more summers just so we have some good swimmers on our hands. Cause I have a little bit of a dare devil an SHE is not afraid of anything or jumping in any water.

Pool Day Sunday

Brian and Brooke asked us over Sunday to go swimming. An the kids love it over there so we decided to go. So we cooked some hot dogs, played some volleyball and let the kids play an swim. They love their Billybob, Brooke an Kristie an also Pawpaw Campbell.

Lukas's Birthday Party

Saturday nite we went to Bedford for Lukas's 1st bday party. They had it at Monkey Grounds Indoor Playground an it was a really cute little place for kids to play. they had those huge wooden playsets in there. Rooms to dress up, play house, music room, it was really neat. The kids had a blast running around doing all sorts of things. Here are a few pics from the party!

Tough Cookie

I have to say that I have one tough cookie on my hand. I knew Addi was tough when she would bump into something here an there an it not even faze her. Well Friday afternoon when they woke up from nap I took them outside to play in there pool cause it was a nice day an I thought I could use some sun as well. We were playing as usual an then Addi and Landon decided they wanted to play on the swing set I didn't think anything of it. Well the were playing with the wheel on the swing set and Addi decided to go down on the robe side. As I look over I see a wasp or yellow jacket I am not sure what it was right be side her an I told her to come to me. An next thing I know she is starts crying. She cried for oh bout a minute or so an then wants she got to me she stopped. I look her over an she is saying ouch an pointing to her knee. So I look at her knee an don't see anything besides a little scrape from something else she had done prior. Then I look closer and an there it is a little sting on the inside of her thigh. That girl didn't cry for more than a minute and she was back trying to play around but I was to worried I was running around going crazy trying to get her inside to call Joel who was on shift to trying to make sure the stinger wasn't still in. She looked at me a couple times like "what the heck are you doing mommy." But I know I have been stunning by a yellow jackets an those things hurt like crazy! So she is one tough cookie in my book!

Update!

Friday we went to the doc for their well check. An the kids are doing wonderfully. Landon has now bypassed his sister in weight and heighth which I am very happy with we thought he would it just took him a bit. He is now 3 lbs heavier, he weighs in at 30 and Addi at 27. I think she will take after her Nana an Landon hopefully after his grandpas my dad and Joels dad. The doctor was very pleased that they hadnt been in for any sick checks, and I was also happy bout that. The Dr. said both were on track with speech and everything an that Landon was ahead on speech. He repeats everything even says things I didnt even know he knew of. The hard thing is to keep him from getting bored, cause that could eventually get him in trouble. Just being him knowing how to get into more things. He said Addi was also doing an amazing job in her speech as well. She was talking up a storm to the doc. They were up to date on all there shots so they didnt have to get any which is always wonderful so I dont go home with cranky toddlers. After the doc appt we met up with Grandma an Lori along with Robert an Emilee an took the kids to McDonalds to play. My kids love McDonalds they pretty much know of every one around town. An some they have never been to. But Landon loves playing with Robert. An I am so glad they can finally play together, now were just waiting on Emilee an then her an Addi can play. I think Emilee will give Addi a run for her money. Which could be a good thing. Lol.
Saturday we went to Tyler's birthday party. They had a jump house an cooked out. My son finally got in the jump house I was so thrilled. We had gone to Ethan an Paige's party at Pump It Up (its a place that has blownup slides an jump houses everything) and Landon wouldnt get into one of those. An I have thought bout having their 3rd bday at that place but since Landon wouldnt get in I was looking for other places. But I might could do it there we will see. They had fun playing in that an on the trampoline and swing set.
Sunday we took the kids to have some hot dogs and swim at Joels Grandpa's house, he has a little community pool like we do but not near the kids in the neighborhood like we do. We had a great time with Grandpa Gig, Gigi (Dianne's new name we came up with yesturday)Lena, Elaine and Grandpa. The kids loved swimming I am so glad they start swim lessons in a 2 weeks. Landon absolutly loves it and Addi does to. I am more suprised by Landon then Addi.
An I am trying to do better bout taking pics but when off an forgot my camera this weekend. But here are a few from the past couple weeks.

Again, been awhile!

I know its been awhile since I updated. Cause looking at the pics on the blog lets me know as well. The kids dont even look the same an those pics were taken in Jan. Nothing to much has been going on just the same ol same ol around here. They are growing up so much. Everyday they suprise me with how well they talk or what they can do, or how they make me laugh. Even how they fight with each other. An lately its been a little rough with them fighting. They do things to each other just to get the other one to react. An I seriously didnt think they would fight since they are boy/girl boy was I wrong. An I cant say its truly bad but its frustrating to say the least. They do things just to get a reaction out of the other or just to tease. I knew it would probably get bad eventually but to start now is just crazy they are only 2 1/2 (well almost 2 1/2). I guess they are not babies anymore! (tear tear). I am goin to try and post some pics of Easter an just recently tomorrow. So check back for pics!
